My current research focus is on social interaction in virtual reality. The McEwan Mediated Communication Laboratory is currently working on SSHRC-funded research examining cognitive load in collaborative VR settings. Other work engages online communities, mediated social networks, and information diffusion. Previous research has been published in Communication Monographs, New Media & Society, Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, Personal Relationships, Communication Studies, Computers in Human Behavior, Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking, and others. |
